Therapeutic Exercise
To further strengthen the injured area, our doctors and therapists work with patients to provide specific exercise instruction to regain the strength and endurance to the injured body part.
Therapeutic Exercises is considered active care, and it is an integral part of getting auto accident patients back to the pre-injury status. However, we also understand our limits as well. There are going to be few patients who, despite all the conservative measures exhausted, will have symptoms that still persist. At Center For Auto Accident Injury Treatment, we have the network to refer out to MRI or Medical Specialist to co-manage the injury.
The Benefits of Therapeutic Exercise
Therapeutic exercise seeks to accomplish the following goals:
- Enable ambulation
- Release contracted muscles, tendons, and fascia
- Mobilize joints
- Improve circulation
- Increase respiratory capacity
- Enhance coordination
- Reduce rigidity
- Improve balance
- Promote relaxation
- Improve muscle strength and, if possible, achieve and maintain Maximal Voluntary Contractile force (MVC)
- Enhance exercise performance and functional capacity (endurance)
